Mission statement of PCW and the Pullman Food Bank:
“To help families attain self-sufficiency by offering them survival, safety, dignity, opportunity, joy, and hope.”
We provide food based on family size; the selection is based on a healthy diet. In addition to basic foods, clients may elect to obtain milk, eggs, meat, bread, and personal hygiene items. During the summer, a variety of vegetables is available. Families are limited to one visit per month.
We also have other programs, including:
- Adult clothing
- “Coats for Kids”
- Shoe vouchers and snow boots for school children
- Emergency financial assistance for utilities, medical bills, rent, etc.
- Holiday programs: Thanksgiving Meal and Christmas Sharing Tree
- Layettes for low-income mothers
